Jed Grant, DMSc, PA-C, graduated from the Inter-service (US Military) PA Program with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska, in 1999. He also obtained a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska in 2008.  In 2020, he earned his Doctor of Medical Science, from the University of Lynchburg.  Dr. Grant began his medical career as a US Army medic. As a PA, he has practiced in primary care, general surgery, military, occupational, and emergency medicine. He currently works clinically in urgent care and serves in the California Army National Guard as an Aeromedical PA.  Dr. Grant has served in several roles within PA education since 2003. He started at Pacific in 2015 as a founding faculty member.

Dr. Grant has served in several professional and military leadership roles. Dr. Grant is a Director at Large on the NCCPA board of directors. He served on the California PA Board for 10 years, including terms as President and Vice-President.  He is the recipient of multiple military and civilian awards for distinguished service, including the Order of St. Maurice and the Army Air Medal with Combat Device, among others. His service was also recognized by the Veterans Caucus of the AAPA with the Military PA of the Year Award. He is a member of the Pi Alpha Physician Assistant Honor Society. His research areas have included infectious disease, hypertension, and PA education.

Dr. Grant enjoys cycling and being with his family when not at work.
