Shelby Yaceczko, MS, RDN-AP, CNSC, CSSD is an advanced practice registered dietitian nutritionist. She graduated from the California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2014 and a Master of Science degree in 2017. She is finishing her final year of her Doctor of Clinical Nutrition degree from Rutgers State University. Her research interests focus on early feeding protocols, perioperative surgical nutrition, micronutrients, and provider autonomy in dietetics practice. 

Shelby has spent the past 7 years of her career working at large academic centers including Keck Hospital of USC and UCLA Health where she developed and launched multiple programs including the perioperative nutrition clinic, surgical and general oncology nutrition program, intra-operative small bowel feeding tube for liver transplantation, and the clinical nutrition and innovation program. She is actively involved in multiple Academy dietetic practice groups including Dietitians in Nutrition Support and Dietitians in Medical Nutrition Therapy DPG where she holds leadership positions. Shelby is an enthusiastic instructor and aims for students to translate what is learned in the classroom back to clinical practice in order to provide effective patient care.
