Nursing school is an expensive endeavor. In addition to registration fees, textbooks, and health insurance, a student enrolled full-time can estimate the following expenses.

Pre-Entry One-Time Expenses

Expense Cost
Criminal Background Check (may be required to repeat prior to Public Health Nursing – Live Scan) Approximately $35
Uniform, Name Badge, Shoes Approximately $150
Lab Equipment Approximately $75-$150

Tuition & Other Fees

Expense Cost
Tuition $1,056 per unit, 14-16 units per semester
See course sequence here
Clinical Lab Fee $700 per semester
Mandatory Hospital Training on-line via Health Stream (this may be required for multiple clinical agencies to meet institutional requirements) $17.50 per semester
Required Textbooks Varies per semester
Exxat Fee $125 per year

The cost of the required medical equipment will range from approximately $150 to $200, depending on the exact equipment models and/or styles chosen. Higher expense does not necessarily mean a better product; a student may be getting more than is needed.

Like most U.S. universities, Pacific’s Board of Regents sets tuition each year. The board tries to keep increases as low as possible. In recent years, increases have averaged about 3 percent per year—less than most of our peers. Note that tuition and increases can vary between programs to meet specific needs. The University reserves the right to change fees, modify services or change its programs at any time and without prior notice.

Note: The program and university reserve the right to modify or change admission standards, tuition, and or fees without prior notice and effective immediately.
