Benerd's Degree Completion Program Makes Education More Accessible

The first cohort from the Organizational Leadership, Criminal Justice concentration is expected to graduate in May 2023.

There are several new and exciting changes happening within Benerd’s Degree Completion Program: expanded program options and a hybrid format.

In the fall of 2021, we added both an optional Criminal Justice concentration to our flagship Organizational Leadership degree as well as a stand-alone Healthcare Administration and Leadership (HCAL) degree option. Students in the Criminal Justice concentration take courses that address leadership and management issues specifically within the justice system as well as multicultural needs, challenges, and broader contemporary concerns within the field. Students in the HCAL program will focus on healthcare delivery systems, policies, economics, ethics, and more. Our first cohort of Criminal Justice and HCAL students will graduate next May. We are grateful for their input and efforts to help grow these programs and we can’t wait to celebrate their hard work!

All Degree Completion options are now currently offered in a hybrid format. Students meet on campus during the weekend for in-person meetings roughly every 8 weeks as they begin and end each new block of classes, while the rest of the course is delivered asynchronously online. This allows our students greater flexibility in completing their coursework while still fostering personal connections with instructors and classmates.
